I live out in the middle of nowhere, so I pretty much have to give anyone coming to my house directions just in case GPS doesn't get them here. I had the music for this one partly done and saved it as "Directions To My House" because I had just sent a text with exactly that while I was working on it. When I came back later and saw the title, I decided to keep it and come up with a little story for giving those directions. 

BTW, when I do give directions to my house, they're much more detailed that this. The first draft of the lyrics actually had directions to my house, but they took pretty much the entire song. Like I said, I'm out in the middle of nowhere,
