This is a new mix of a song I wrote back in 2018 the day after the Stoneman-Douglas school shooting. How many have there been since then?

I won't go into a diatribe about this tragedy, or the last one or the next one. I'll let the song speak to that. But as I was working on this and looking at some of the other songs I've written in the past 20 years in response to anger or sadness I realize just how little has changed. People are angry. People are upset. At least some people. But the truth of it is most don't care. At least until a gunman walks into the grocery store they're in or the school their children are in. Or politicians start enacting laws that restrict their rights as human beings.

Until that happens, we just gladly stay in our own little bubbles thinking nothing can come in and disturb us.

But when the unthinkable happens, at least we'll know we have the "thoughts and prayers" of the people who could have done something that might have prevented it...
